Blog Task 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIs7QfAHwN0 1)    Pick  three  camera shots and explain the effect they have on the audience. I saw an over the shoulder shot, there is a close up when you could see the women speaking to the other woman and there is also establishing shot. These all have an effect because they show something important like where they are or who is there or what they look like. 2) Pick  two  camera angles and explain the effect they have on the audience.  There was a POV and this affected the audience by showing the expression of the character and what her emotions were. There was also a full shot, this established what the character was wearing and what her expression was like. 3) Analyse the  camera movement  at two key points in the clip and write about why the director chose to use that camera movement. There was 1 key point where the camera stood still like an over the shoulder shot and focused on their conversation. There was als

This shot is called a medium shot. This is a medium shot because it shows the subject from face to knee and it shows their expressions, mouth wide open suggesting the character is shocked. This shot is called Establishing Shot, often included at the beginning of the scene. This might suggest that something is going to happen as the man in the car has got out and someone else is looking at him from behind the car. This shot is called a close-up. The subject's head/face takes up the majority of the frame and that allows their reaction and emotions to create a scene. This might suggest that the man is worried and is looking at someone but we can't see them. This makes us feel curious to know who it is and what they want. 3) Why does the pace of the  editing  change in this sequence and what is the effect on the audience? The pace of the editing increases because the movement speed of each character is increasing and therefore they increase the amount of

Mise-en-scene

Mise-En-Scene Stranger Things Analysis In the 8 mins of Stranger Things I an saw that the setting was set in a basement and there 4 children playing games. This means they are friends and are having fun by playing with each other. The audience would feel that they are enjoying themselves. When they leave the house and its time for them to go you can see that it is night time and once the kids get onto their bikes you can see that the lights flicker. This could suggest that there might be a power cut or that there it is a symbol of something being out there. This might mean that there is danger out there and they might be in trouble. When at the end when one of the children run into a shed and reload a shotgun and have it out ready to shoot aiming at the door. This suggests he is grieve-stricken and scared. When the light flashes and the child disappears it might mean that he went into the light and it sucked him in. No grammar issues because I am using Grammarly :D

Blog feedback and learner response

WWW- You have started to use denotation and connotation accurately in your analysis of your own advert, thinking about the wider intended message for the audience but this still needs to be developed in more depth for GCSE level. You have started to analyse the Doctor Who clip well. Fruit bowl is nicely designed. EBI- There are two major aspects you need to work on to accelerate your progress in Media. Firstly, your written English MUST improve significantly. There are far too many errors in spelling, punctuation and grammar in your work so far, such as in your analysis of the Water Aid advert. It is vital in EVERY piece of writing you produce that capital letters and full stops are used accurately. Secondly, you must add much more depth to your media analysis, for instance when you analyse your own advert: think of setting, props, font and copy. LR: You must proof read your work carefully and add more analysis to each one of your tasks so far as they all seem a bit rushe
