1) What year was the advert produced?
1950
2) How were women represented in most adverts in the 1950s?
Most women in the 1950's where usually housewives and did all their work at home and did not have any jobs to do. If they don't do house work then they are looking after their kids while the men do the important job and work to get money to feed the family.
3) How does the heading message ('OMO makes whites bright') and typography promote the product?
The heading makes the words sound like its a rhyme and it might get stuck in your head (catchy).
It might also get the audience to buy it and it convinces them.
4) Analyse the mise-en-scene in the advert (CLAMPS): how is costume, make-up and placement of the model used to suggest women's role in society?
She is dressed up like a housewives and her expression is like is wants to work hard on cleaning and is joyful to clean up.
5) Why is a picture of the product added to the bottom right of the advert?
They try to show off the product and show how fancy it looks and maybe if you see it you will like it and it will persuade you to buy the product.

The main colour is white because the advert is based on OMO and this product makes everything white and bright.
